    If you have an Apex DOS, you would want a DDR because it enables dosing usage monitoring and gives you warning when level is low (at 70%? fixed which is not most people's preference). The DDR is 2 vessels each holds half gallon. They want 0 for it. I think, like all high end reefing equipment, the price is ridiculous. With this DIY cable, you plug it into your DOS and install the 2 optical sensors on 2 reservoirs of your choice at the warning level of your choice, it is essentially better than the 0 DDR for a lot less.
    OPTIONALLY, instead of drilling a hole of your reservoir and fixing the sensor in one position, you can get this magnetic clip (Amazon: B07B3XD9L7) so that you can mount the sensor anywhere.
